The colors of the rainbow are very useful when one learns about chakras because they may simplify the process when choosing Crystals. However it is good to remember that matching the colour of the chakra with that of a crystal is not the one and only way to choose. Sometimes it is a different colour Crystal to that of the chakra that feels right.
Through the following ‘guide’ you can create your own ‘Crystal Kit’:
Base Chakra – Safety – Red & Black
Our grounding. Deals with issues of safety and stability (economic and physical). Our ability to ‘stand on our own two feet’. Making the best decisions. Our self worth.
Possible problems – A sense that ‘our feet are not touching the ground’. Depression. Lack of confidence, addictions and phobias.
The Sacral Chacra – Joy – Orange
Our ability to gain sexual satisfaction. Our creativity and nourishment.
Possible problems – Lack of flexibility when dealing with life. Lack of sexual want. Self abuse, blocked creativity, shame.
Crystals – Orange Calcite, Carnelian, Sunstone.
Solar Plexus – Strength – Yellow
Trust, strength, prosperity. Our will and how we value ourselves. The responsibility of our choices. Sensitivity to criticism. Our lower instinct.
Possible problems – Fatigue, lack of ambition, anger. Putting the blame on ‘other people’. Egocentrism, bitterness, guilt.
Crystals – Citrine, Tigrt Eye, Citrine, Ametrine
The Heart Chakra – The love in our lives – Green or Pink
Our ability to love and be loved. Empathy, hope, acceptance. Forgiveness and grief.
Possible problems – Hate and loneliness. Egocentric damaging relationships. Passive -aggressive behaviour. Jealousy, bitterness, dependance.
Crystals – Rhodonite , Aquamarine, Εpidote, Zoizite with ruby, Rainbow Calcite, Pink Kunzite, Pink Quartz.
The Throat Chakra – Our truth – Blue
How we express ourselves. Our ability to communicate. Our artistic expression. Dignity.
Our sense of humor.
Possible problems – Difficulty in communication. People who don’t listen. Difficulty in expressing creative ideas. Exaggeration and lies.
Crystals – Blue Halchedony, Blue Kyanite, Sodalite, Angelite.
The Third Eye (Brow Chakra) – Perception – Purple
Inspiration, intuition, intelligence. Our visions. Our memory. Our wisdom.
Possible problems – Lack of clarity. Lack of perspective. People who don’t learn from their mistakes.
Crystals – Amethyst, Ametrine, Lapis.
Corona Chakra – Awareness – White or colorless
Faith, inspiration, spirituality, ethics, enlightenment.
Possible problems – Confusion, arrogance. Questioning spirituality.
